Biography
Bree Jackson has sung with piano accompaniment and with groups such as the Vocal Society in NYC, in jazz venues from the Village Vanguard to jazz festivals and clubs in the greater NY/NJ area. Bree is known for her musical tributes to the ballads of Richard Rodgers, Hoagy Carmichael, Mitchell Parrish, and others, as well as the swing music of jazz greats such as Duke Ellington and George Gershwin. Bree performed with the famed pianist and New York City nightclub owner, David Lahm in Budd Lake, New Jersey in 1995. Owner of Fast Forward Productions, a music library supplying original music to enhance corporate videos, commercial video productions, and original jingle production. Produced promotional video, (year long project), for Waterloo Village. Bree has performed with dance bands Soundstreet and Menagerie at various hotels and dance clubs in the state of New Jersey from 1976 until 1995. She's also performed with a Jazz Quintet called the Vocal Society from 1970 until 1973, with director and arranger, Sir Robin Clark. Also performed in tri-state jazz clubs and New York Jazz Musicians Festival in 1971 and 1972 at the Village Vanguard, the Half-Note, the Duplex, and Studio Rivbea in New York City. Bree has done commercial voiceover work at the Globe Studio in New York City with American Airlines and others as clients. Performed with various local jazz artists at famed Staten Island, New York Jazz Club "Peter's Cocktail Lounge" from 1967 through 1970. Bree was also a member of the All-City Chorus (300 voices) under the direction of Dr. Peter J. Wilhousky (also her private vocal coach) in 1965 and 1966, performing at the Lincoln Center and other New York City-sponsored events. |
